I love these at holiday-time! Feel free to completely cover them in chocolate if you choose to! Enjoy!


1 lb. butter
2 lb. creamy peanut butter
3 lb. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 lb. Hershey’s chocolate bars
1 layer paraffin
Cream butter and peanut butter; add vanilla and mix well. Start adding powdered sugar a little at a time. Stop when the dough forms a ball easily. Form into balls using heaping tablespoon for each ball. Put on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet and chill.Melt chocolate and paraffin in double boiler over simmering water. With toothpick, dip candy balls into mixture. Place immediately on waxed paper. Remove toothpick. When dipping, leave small oval on top unfrosted to look like a buckeye.
